Local SEO services

For local service businesses that want to show up when someone nearby searches for their trade, and get the call.

What local SEO is, in plain terms

Local SEO is the work that decides whether your business shows up when someone near you searches for what you do. "Roofer near me." "Emergency plumber." "Dentist in" and the name of your town. Google answers those searches with a map of three businesses and a list of websites below it. Local SEO is how you earn a place in both.

Google decides who to show using three things it says out loud: how relevant you are to the search, how close you are to the searcher, and how prominent your business is. You cannot move your shop closer to every customer. You can make it very clear what you do and where, and you can build the reviews, mentions and pages that make you prominent.

What we work on

  • Your Google Business Profile. The right primary category, the services you actually sell, real photos, regular posts and a reply to every review. More on profile work.
  • Service pages. One page for each main job you want calls for, written for the customer and clear enough for Google to match.
  • Area pages that earn their place. Only for towns you really serve, with something specific to say about each. Why most area pages get ignored.
  • Listings. Your name, address and phone the same on every directory that matters, with duplicates removed.
  • Reviews. A plain process for asking every customer, inside Google's rules.
  • Tracking. Calls and forms from Google counted, so you can see what the work brings in.

Why one team for the map, the site and the ads

Most local businesses that hire for SEO also run, or will run, Google Ads. When two vendors handle them, the profile says one thing, the ads say another and the landing page says a third. Nathan Synoground has managed $20.5M in Google Ads across 150 client accounts since 2018. Fruitful Local puts the same jobs, the same words and the same tracking behind all three, so the ads teach you which searches pay and the SEO work goes after those first.

When you do not need this

If your calendar is full from referrals and repeat customers, local SEO can wait. If you sell online to customers anywhere, you need a different kind of SEO. And if your Google Business Profile is suspended, that gets fixed first, before any of the rest matters.

How the work goes

  1. Review

We look at your Google Business Profile, your site, your listings and the businesses showing above you for your main jobs in your city.

  2. Fix the foundation

Profile categories and services, your name, address and phone matching everywhere, and call and form tracking set up so results can be seen.

  3. Build the pages

One clear page for each main service, and area pages only where you really work and have something true to say about the place.

  4. Earn reviews and keep going

A simple way to ask every customer for a review, replies to the ones you get, and regular profile posts and photos.

Common questions

What is included in local SEO services?

Google Business Profile work, service and area pages on your site, listings cleanup across directories, a review process, and tracking for calls and forms. The mix depends on what your review shows is missing.

Do you also run Google Ads?

Yes. Fruitful Local runs Google Ads and Facebook ads as well as SEO. Many local businesses do best with both: ads bring calls while the organic work builds.

Will you guarantee I rank in the top 3?

No, and be careful of anyone who does. Map results depend on where the searcher is and on Google's own choices. We promise the work and the reporting, not a position.

How do I know it is working?

Calls, form leads and booked jobs that come from Google, tracked from the start. Profile views and rankings are useful signals, but the jobs are the point.
